Sundays digging

Barrowed clay onto the landing all day.

Next job, rake all the leaves and clear out the drainage ditches, then all we need is some dry weather and we'll be ready to go.

Getting stuff done

Finished the landing for the 6th set on our new line...

This is the line we started last September when we had the digger in, it looks like its going to be a really fun line. Here's a clip from when we were running in the first few jumps last October.

Phil has sorted out the 3rd landing as well

I'm off to do some more digging maybe another update later!

Good clay makes good lips

Went up the woods for a couple of hours on Saturday, finished of this lip I started the previous weekend.

Its just the 9th main line lip but I'm making it wider so you can hip into the flow line probably would have been ok as it was but you'd have to carve loads of the lip and I'd prefer not to, anyway you can jump it whatever way you like now.

Summer number four

Trails will be 3 years old in July, we started off with just a few abandoned jumps and this year we'll have over 20 lips and 5 lines. Been some worrying times but now with the council on our side its looking good for the future.

Main line hip 2010

Main line hip 2009

First set in 2008, later became 2nd set

Had a quick look under the tarps on the weekend doesn't look good, worst winter so far for frost damage, loads of cracking and lips are flaking, going to need a lot of work to get them running good again.

Sweet interview on Life blog and this pic, amazing!

Last weekend

Another good day on Saturday, put a load of dirt on this berm and stacked the landing up ready for clay when it warms up. Will be building the berm up higher so you can fly off the end into the landing, should be fun if it works

hoping it will end up like a smaller version of this

Sunday I went to some local pump tracks and a park to test out the BMX, rides so good, really can't wait to see what its like on the trails. Won't be long now, another month and we should be able to get the covers off, stoked!

Haha, some people think we have steep landings!

This spot looked so good, I hope their new spot turns out even better.

Our landings don't look as steep as some of these ones, but we still get people complaining every year that there too steep, and its always the people who never do any digging.
